FR Viscose-T100
Flame Retardant Viscose Fiber

FR Viscose-T100 is a man-made cellulosic fiber which is flame retardant by incorporating “phosphorous” in the viscose matrix. The phosphorous flame retardant is incorporated at the fiber spinning stage. FR Viscose T100 has been extensively used in fabric blends where it provides increased moisture absorption and comfort without compromising protection. Primary applications include protective clothing (e.g. knits, wovens, non-wovens) by blending with other fibers such as Aramet®, Conex®, PBI® and P-84®. This product is not intended for outer shell fabrics, bunker gear, or other applications where abrasion resistance and extreme physical resistance are required.

Dyeable in a wide range of colors is possible; however, colorfastness to laundering is variable and similar to normal viscose fiber. FR Viscose-T100 is stable when exposed to a wide variety of acids and alkalis. However, prolonged exposure to high concentrations of sulfuric acid, sodium hydroxide, dimethyl formamide, and dimethyl sulfoxide is not recommended. The fabric does not provide personal chemical protection to the wearer. Where chemical exposure is a hazard, appropriate specialized barrier garments should be selected. FR Viscose is stable when exposed to a wide variety of bleaching agents and organic solvents.
